About Our School
GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya is a CBSE senior secondary school in Ashok Nagar, Chennai, where three decades of tradition meet a forward-looking approach to learning.
Three decades of nurturing confident, grounded children
The school opened its doors in 1994 with a single building, a handful of teachers and a conviction that still guides us: that a child learns best when high academic expectations sit alongside genuine care.
What began as a neighbourhood school has grown into a full CBSE senior secondary campus serving families across west Chennai — but the scale of the classroom, and the attention each child receives, has deliberately stayed the same.

Founded in Ashok Nagar with 90 children across kindergarten and primary.
CBSE affiliation
Formal affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.
Senior secondary wing
Science and Commerce streams introduced for Classes XI and XII.
